Audiences which like horror films.
I have pick three films in the genre of horror the genre we as a group have decided to make our film opening and have view statistics about the type of audience which have liked the film in order to know which type of audience will be attracted to our opening. The three films i have chosen is The Silence of the Lambs, The Conjuring and Annabelle.
The Silence of the Lambs
I wasn't greatly surprised to see the age in which the people who liked The Silence of the lambs was between mid 40's, 50's because it's a quite intelligent thriller rather than a blood and cuts horror, which I would expect a younger age group. I feel Silence of the lambs is an intelligent film and that reflects on the type of audience that like the film. When creating or planning our film opening we should feel how we are representing the film as that will almost definitely relate to our audience and essential to who will like the the opening. If our target audience is going to be like the audience that liked this film we will have to take a very intelligent style of opening rather than a full blown overt horror film.
